ANNOUNCEMENTS AND INVITATIONS
1) HORIZON TRAINING & INSPIRATION FOR EVERYONE– Please prayerfully consider attending the HORIZON
LEADERSHIP TRAINING AT SKYCROFT, especially Care Group Leaders on July 24 (Friday) & 25 (Saturday). You
are urged to review the List of Training to be offered next month to all our churches in Maryland and Delaware. To
avail of the discount we need to register before July 3rd. Please let  Education Chair Lelou or the Pastor know of
your decision before July 3rd.
2)  BELIEVER’S BAPTISM will be scheduled in July for those who’ve finished their orientation in obedience to the
Lord’s command. Many others are now being prepared to follow. If you’re interested in joining them, please tell
Pastor Nards or Bro. Joey Valdez.
3)   A BIG THANKS TO ALL OUR LADIES! Our men salute all the Ladies of our church for all their efforts in
making last Sunday’s Father’s Day quite meaningful and memorable. We’re proud of you! Thanks also for
everyone’s share in the reception and fellowship that followed.
4) SAVE THE DATE: DEACONS MEN’S BREAKFAST & TRAINING RETREAT at MCC ON JULY 18, SATURDAY, 9:
30 am – 12:30 pm.  Please set this date apart for fellowship and equipping.

Pray as the Holy Spirit leads you for the following requests:
1.  Pray for the Leaders and participants of All Care Groups.
2. God’s continued nurture of the New Believers in our church, and wisdom for their leaders as they teach and
encourage them.
3. Thank God for the formation of the ONE SENDING BODY among So. Baptists in the Philippines that send
Filipino Missionaries overseas!  Pray for the Needs of Filipino missionaries to Asian countries (i.e., Thailand,
Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam, China and Indonesia).  Aside from cultural and political problems they face, these
families depend mainly on the prayers and financial gifts of their fellow Filipino Christians.  Your letters and/or gifts
will be sent through the Luzon So. Baptist Convention Office in Manila. Designate your special gifts, “Filipino
Missionaries to Asia.”
4. Pray for the safety of our Troops wherever they may be based.  Thanks God for their sacrifices for their
country.  Ask for God’s comfort and provision for their families.
5. Pray for the preparations being done towards the Mentoring of a number of our Men in the Christian Life.
6. Families and victims of D.C. train collision. Among those who lost their lives in the collision and derailment on
the Washington metro rail network earlier this week that killed train operator Jeanice McMillan and eight other
passengers were a military general (Maj. Gen. David F. Wherley Jr. and his wife Ann), a Bible school teacher, and
single moms balancing work and children. Dozens more were injured. Investigators continue to look into the cause
of the accident.
7. Unemployment in the nation. President Obama says “it’s pretty clear now that unemployment will end up going
over 10 percent…because of the fact that even after employers and businesses start investing again and start
hiring again, typically it takes a while for that employment number to catch up with economic recovery.” He also
said the economy is not yet experiencing “actual recovery yet.”
8. North Korea threats. Some 100,000 North Koreans packed Pyongyang's main square Thursday for an anti-U.S.
rally as the communist regime promised a "fire shower of nuclear retaliation" for any American-led attack.
